Citroen C4 and electric e-C4 receive updates for 2022

Citroen has given its C4 family hatchback an update for 2022, with a handful of design tweaks and extra range for the e-C4 electric variant. 
Entry level sense and sense plus automobiles get revised wheels with a light grey finish, while much more expensive shine and shine plus models are now fitted with 18-inch ‘Aeroblade’ alloys, with a two-tone diamond-cut design that replaces the dark-tinted finish of the outgoing version.

The Obsidian Black exterior paint colour has been removed from the range, and has been replaced by a new shade called Perla Nera Black.

Inside, the C4’s striking cabin is mostly unchanged, with a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen taking centre stage on the dashboard. but it’s not without new tech. 
Among the updates is the addition of Citroen smart Pad support to entry-level sense models. This feature allows front-seat passengers to mount a tablet device to the dashboard, using an integrated holder above the glovebox. A screen filter is included in the tablet case, which prevents the chauffeur from being distracted on the move. The passenger airbag has been developed with the system in mind, and deploys over the top of the mount in the event of an accident. 
Citroen’s EV offering, the e-C4 Electric, has received a “series of technical enhancements” and efficiency improvements to improve range. While it retains the same 50kWh battery, and official 217-mile WLTP range figure, the updates ought to see the e-C4 electric travelling even more on a charge during real-world use.
